Winter in St. Louis...

It's cold and either raining or snowing. Or doing both at the same time. The weather is unpredictable and I don't want to be out in it.

In years past, I have spent the winter filming events and doing my best to hibernate. This year has been different and I've been lucky enough to start photographing products again! It's been a few years since I've done product photography and I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy it!

St. Louis Missouri Product Photography

This adorable Spring dog bow tie was so much fun!

It isn't easy....

Many people assume that product photography is super easy. Sometimes it can be! Most of the time, there is a lot of time, thought, and planning that goes into a successful day of filming. Vendors need photos that match their branding, and have true-to-life colors. So much goes in to making sure that my clients get consistent photos across all of their website/social media channels. Email chains can get long, sometimes we meet in person, other times there are video conferences before the products get sent to me. The planning is key!

Spring is around the corner...

With Spring on the way, I know that I will need to cut back on the product photography to make way for my portrait clients. I'm eternally grateful to have this steady work during the off-season. I have really enjoyed making product films optimized for Social Media sites!
